Traveling as a P-type

In the 16-personality type test, I was categorized as a spontaneous, easygoing type. They said I am a 'P' type person, let's me give a classic example. Two days before the semester started, I casually mentioned wanting to visit an all-you-can-eat oyster restaurant in Dongshi. Despite the distance from our university, my friend, also a spontaneous P-type, decided to drive us there. The oysters were incredibly fresh, and we ate to our heart's content. Halfway through, we realized Tainan was nearby, so we decided to explore the city after dinner.

First, we went to the seaside trail for a walk and to enjoy the breeze. The gentle wind brushed against my cheeks, and I tasted the feeling of freedom. While playing the music that matched my cheerful mood, we sang and danced along by the sea as if there was no one else left in the world.

LOLA Bar

Then, we headed to a late-night bar. The place was very crowded, and we only found out upon arrival that a reservation was needed to get a table. However, we were very lucky that day, as the owner quickly arranged a table for the three of us. The atmosphere was fantastic—dim lighting, jazz music. We enjoyed non-alcoholic drinks and soaked in the mood.

Duiyue Gate

After leaving the bar, we strolled through the streets of Tainan in the early morning. Just a few steps in, we encountered a historical site—a small gate called “Duiyue Gate”, built from red bricks. It made me feel that Tainan is truly a city with a rich, ancient charm.

At 3 AM, hunger struck again, so we found a street-side stall for “gua bao”, and my friend insisted we have to try the local fried eggs. He said that the fried egg will be different. Though I didn’t think they’d be any different, it became a fun moment of laughter for us.

(p.s. I forgot the name of the stall and the location!)

Stree side stall

By 4 AM, we were back on the road, heading to school to catch up on sleep. This pre-semester trip was filled with fun and memories. I think I will always enjoy spontaneous trips, no matter how old I get.

Let me know your precious thoughs.
